Summer Program

We have been having technical difficulties with our on-line registration process. We apologize for any confusion and inconvenience this has caused.

Registration for the 2011 Community Lab summer program “Adventures in Biotechnology” is now open for ONLY Cambridge and Somerville students and children of Biogen Idec employees.

Registration is also now open to ALL students applying for the two-week “Advanced Adventures in Biotechnology” session. You must have previously participated in the one-week program and you must include in your application a 250-word essay on why you want to participate in the two-week program and what they hope to gain from the experience. The deadline for these applications is May 6th, 2011 and students will be notified if accepted by May 13th, 2011. Please note that you must have previously participated in the one-week program.

For all registrations, in lieu of the on-line form, please email the following information to communitylab@biogenidec.com with the subject “Summer Registration”

Information in email:

Name, current grade, home address, home telephone number, school name, which session (AIB I from July 11-15, AIB 2 from August 15-19 or AAIB*), student email address, parent/guardian email address, and how you found out about the program (name of person or source of information). *If you are applying for the advanced two-week session you must also include a 250-word essay.

Registration for all others interested in the one-week sessions must wait until May 9th, 2011. Early registrations will be rejected without notice. Students will be accepted until each session is full. Each session is limited to 28 students.
