Philanthropic Giving
In 2011, Biogen Idec gave more than $291.9 million to support its philanthropic efforts.
Our giving comprises grants from the Biogen Idec Foundation, our support of medical education and patient assistance contributions. Specific contributions to support patients using our therapies include the ActiveAccessTM free drug and copay assistance programs as well as donations to organizations administering patient assistance programs.
