Global Operations, Biogen Idec's supply chain organization, is at the center of the company's international expansion strategy. The Global Operations team is responsible for managing, coordinating and satisfying Biogen Idec's material and product requirements worldwide. This includes product for use in clinical trials as well as commercial packaged product to meet demand in more than 80 markets worldwide.
Global Operations is broadly organized into three departments – Planning Operations, Contract Manufacturing and Logistics. High-impact supply chain opportunities exist within both commercial and clinical programs, spanning a combination of large-molecule and small-molecule compounds.
